How we verify

Every figure on this site comes from a published document, and every page shows you which one. This page explains the process and its limits. The numbers below are generated from the live data set, so they cannot drift out of date.

Where the figures come from

We read published user manuals and manufacturer support pages, extract the mounting specifications, and record the exact sentence the value came from. We do not copy other specification websites, and we do not guess.

What we refuse to publish

• Values our sources disagree on. When two documents give different numbers we publish neither, say so on the page, and show you how to measure it.
• Values that fail a plausibility check. A panel taller than it is wide, a stand narrower than a hand, a weight outside the physically sensible range — these are suppressed rather than shown.
• Values we cannot attribute. If the quoted text does not actually contain the figure, we drop the quote rather than let it imply support it does not give.
• Models with no mounting pattern. A page whose central fact is unknown should not exist, so it does not.

Current coverage

What "one source" means

Most figures here rest on a single document. We say so on every page rather than implying more corroboration than we have. Where a second, genuinely separate document confirms a value we label it as confirmed. Note that two manuals sites carrying the same manufacturer PDF are not two sources — they are one document in two places, and we count them once.

Derived values

TV model numbers encode a screen size (122 of our pages use this). Where no document states the size, we read it from the model designation and label it derived. It is a naming convention, not a measurement, and we never present it as if a source stated it.

Check us

Every published figure links to the document it came from, and most show the sentence itself. If a number here disagrees with your TV, trust your tape measure and tell us — corrections are the most useful thing anyone sends.
