About whatmount
whatmount answers one question: which wall mount fits your television. We publish the mounting facts for 132 TV models — the VESA hole pattern, the panel weight, and the screw size where the manual states it — and we show the source for each one.
Who runs it
whatmount is operated by Wade Ventures LLC, a small independent company in the United States. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any television or mount manufacturer. Contact: [email protected].
Why it exists
Mounting information is scattered through PDF manuals and forum threads, and getting it wrong means a returned mount or a damaged television. The specification exists in the manufacturer's own documentation; it is simply hard to find. We find it, record where it came from, and present it so you can check it at a glance.
What this site is not
- Not a review site. No ratings, no rankings, no "best" lists.
- Not a substitute for your installation instructions. Follow the manuals that came with your TV and your mount.
- Not a shop. We sell nothing and hold no stock.
- Not complete. We cover 132 models, not every television ever made.
How it is funded
The site currently earns nothing. In future, some links to retailers may earn a commission at no extra cost to you; when that happens it will be disclosed on every page carrying such a link. It will never change which mount we say fits your TV — that is arithmetic, not opinion.
